When or at what point does your time allowment reset working on your pages? If you analize it does your time reset? I hope this jumbled mess of writing isn't being sent anywhere when I click Build It since I have rewritten about 10 time so far and I'm only on page one. Sad

One more question for now. Did I read somewhere that you should only work on content and not put any affiliate links on your page until you have at least five pages for the SE to view? If this is so, I assume I would have to go back and add these to my pages Confused

tks,charles

Your SBI login resets after 30 minutes I believe. There is a tip in SBI online that recommends you "save" the page to your desktop when you are done and before you hit "preview" "analyze" or "build it." This way, if you did "time out" you still have the page you can use once you log in again.

You can save the page by clicking "File" upper left browser, then "save as."

After you do that, then do the ... preview ... analyze ... build it as needed. If you are timed out, log back in, open the page on your desktop, and do it again Smile Should go through then.

As far as having 5 pages before adding affiliate links? I never heard of that. There are threads about Zeal and DMOZ and not putting affiliate links in until after you are accepted in their directories. Zeal won't accept affiliate sites at all!

DMOZ will, but some editors are hardnosed. See these threads to learn more about DMOZ:

http://associateprograms.com/discus/viewtopic.php?t=1002&highlight=dmoz

If you decide to go the route of no affiliate links until after you are accepted to Zeal, then, yes, you would have to go back and add affiliate links later.

Hope this helps,
Debs

charles,

My understanding is the same as Debs.

I can understand holding off on including merchant links so your site would get accepted easier to DMOZ, but how does that compare to having to revisit and post every page with live links "if and when" you get accepted.

I didn't wait, as it waiting for one listing didn't seem that big of a thing.

However, this is only my humble opinion. Rolling Eyes

NEVER wait for DMOZ, Zeal yes, DMOZ no lol You will wait six months to a year, if you are lucky!
