Hello,
Lets say I am doing a site about Basketball. I write several articles about basketball, optimized with keywords. For example, lets say I write an article about 'basketball shoes.' The problem I am facing is I find out that 'basketball shoes' is also being searched under the incorrect spelling 'basket ball shoes'. So do I write a whole other page on the incorrect spelled word or do I ad it in as a secondary keyword to the correct spelling of 'basketball shoes' and sprinkle it in somehow?
I would make sure the word basket and ball are separated but close in proximity in several places on the page.
Then I would do a separate page on baskets ... for basketball and talk about the rim of the basket, and how the ball can roll but if the ball isn't inflated properly, you won't get the roll on the basket rim. Something like that.
Hope this helps,

Thank you. That helps, but I don't "get" what you mean by creating another page on basket, and one on ball...in terms of how that will help get the searches for the incorrect spelling.
In the same way that proximity will get the misspelled searches on your basketball page. Increasing the chances of being found on related terms. You can target "basket ball" as a term but when you use misspellings it can make your site unprofessional in appearance.
I did see a site recently that had a workaround for this though. They provided a short paragraph toward the top of the page defining the keyphrase, then had "common misspellings" as part of the definition. I thought it was original and well-targeted to pick up misspellings without looking like you can't spell.
