Hi Orchid Man!
Sorry, to hear that you had problems with the website, but maybe you should check your computer first. I don't have any influence on that website, but I checked it with 4 different browsers (Netscape, IE, Mozilla and Opera) on 2 different computers and haven't had any problems. Please let me know what system configurations you are using and I will contact the site owner and tell them about the problem.
It's up to you to trash everything with dk or Googleprofit. I believe in Lifelong customership. Customer service has the highest priority for me. You could contact me via the Forum and I will personaly try to help you to solve your problems.
So please take the chance and contact me, my help is free. Anyway if you have any question about Google Adwords, please ask!
All the best

Orchidman,
I checked out the site and didn't have any problems with multiple windows or an auto download. I have the Google toolbar with popup blocker installed.

You may want to scan your computer for parasiteware. I can't imagine anyone wanting to mess up getting sales/memberships by pulling the garbage you mentioned.

Hi John!
Debs is right. Maybe you have some spyware on computer you
don't even know.
Here are two free excellent tools to check your computer:

http://www.safer-networking.org/ -> Spybot and Destroy
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ -> Adware

Do yourself a favour and download these two programs as fast
as possible and check your computer.

All the best
Dieter Kling
P.S. You have a very nice looking site about Orchids! Do you make
an income with this site or is this just your hobby?

Hello dj

Here is where things stand. I repeated the steps of the other night and was unable to cause a repeat of the problem. I had used Ad-Ware 6.0 earlier in the day, before the initial problem.

Just finished downloading Spybot and running it. Again no problems except for three tracking cookies. I did notice yesterday or this morning (been a long day) that a couple of hundred bytes were uploaded when I when online.

It looks like I owe you, dk and Google Profit an apology. Don?t know what happened but I can?t lay the blame at either of your doors.

I have just started on the orchid site. Many more pages to go to get the basic site up. But not much will happen until mid December when I get done with the show circuit. I sure hope it doesn?t turn into a hobby site. One sale so far, an old customer that stumbled upon the site. No links yet, waiting until the basic site is done. Google just listed several of the pages so the traffic should be increasing slowly.

Again by apologies for dumping on you and Google Profit.

Debs, thanks for your looking into the problem.

John

you don't have to apologize! We need more people like you, who tell others when there are problems occuring. I also don't like these numerous popups from some websites and avoid such programs strictly. I normaly check all my affiliate websites and links weekly, but don't check all subscription boxes (I only check them before I sign up as an affiliate, because I want to know what's going on), from websites I don't own myself. But I always want to know what's going on with products I recommend. If a merchant is doing changes I couldn't accept, I don't recommend the product any longer. What I don't like was how you have done it. A personal message via boardmail is in my opinion the better and nicer solution to tell someone about a complaint.

Keep up the good work with your website!

All the best
Dieter Kling
