Post subject: Cookies

I have been looking around at some affiliate programs, especially those with datafeeds.
The thing I noticed is there are cookies that run from 30 days to never expire.
I'm sure the longer the cookie, the better.
My question is: Say, for example, there is a 30 day cookie and you click through my link, if you return in 40 days or even 10 days ,through my link, does that reset the cookie or is it only the first time that counts for you?
Thanks for your help.

With a well run affiliate program, the cookie would be reset each time.
In rare cases, the sale goes to the first referring affiliate, even if the actual sale occurs after a later referral by a second or third affiliate. _________________ Allan Gardyne
