Post subject: Using Free Articles

We were discussing about www.selfseo.com and it's Simple site navigation.
but if you noticed it uses most of the Articles that are submitted to Articles directories like goarticles.com or ideamarketers.com.
I was wondering if it's duplicate content....
If you check it's google stats around 12,000 pages are indexed. Now will it not be thin affiliate sites... It's easy to get hold of scripts that take content from directories n build a site like that.

Most of the content at goarticles and idea marketers
is duplicate content itself becuase people don't just
post there articles to one article directory.
So, yes the content for this site is most likely
duplicate, but following the business models of
goarticles and ezinearticles when these types of
directories are large enough they do add a significant
amount of value to the internet.
The value being these sitess are sites that many
people use to generate content.

A curious thing is that while Google warns us in its webmaster guidelines not to creates sites and pages with duplicate content, it's often possible to do a search in Google and see in the search results the same article appearing on dozens on websites - and ranking well.
So although Google does filter duplicate content, it doesn't do a very good job of it, or not today! Who knows what will happen tomorrow?
I think it's fair to speculate that Google will improve its duplicate content filtering. _________________ Allan Gardyne

You know what...
when I was wondering about this(a while ago, before deciding not to jump on free articles), I got a report from one of the marketers.. I duno exactly remember who it was(as I m susbscribed to all of them)..
he was giving something..
If you want to use Free articles just add an extra Header n footer with the keywords you want .. just make it readable...
--------------
Header
--------------
Free article
--...
....
...
----------
footer
-----------
well I got puzzled, but I didn't tried this trick..
sometimes I think I can look int o it
You can add 100 articles per month... it'll look natural too right...???

| I tried that out, still seemed to be filtered as duplicate content. Maybe if the header and footer were way larger than the article it would work but at that point you might as well write an original article with just your keywords. |
