Post subject: Day of reckoning has arrived...Maybe

I've read on several forums this morning that maybe AdSense is finally getting serious about pages created with automatic content generators just for the purpose of showing AdSense ads, pages created manually clearly just to display AdSense, scraper sites, and other policy violations.
At a conference this week, an AdSense representative announced a method of reporting such sites.
1. Go to the site/page
2. Click on "Ads by Google"
3. In the comment field, enter "spamreport" into the comments and explain the policy violation
4. It's your choice whether to include your email address
The word "spamreport" will get the message to the policy enforcement team. Based on what I'm reading, the people on that team are going to have a lot of messages to review.
Now we'll see if they do anything more than simply review messages.

I hope you're right, Bobby. That would be great news! I just wonder how many of those people also hang around here? |

I'm not real sure about this move. Another attempt to control the monster they've built. Putting decisions in the hands of the public isn't the best idea. "My competitor has Adsense and let's get his site banned from the program by clicking this button" ...Adsense police will have to take those spam reports with a grain of salt, if they ever "really" put the program into effect. _________________ 2009 Insider Secrets

I would sincerely hope that the "Spamreport" subject would just cause the it to go to a queue where an actual, living, breathing human would make the final determination. It takes about .5 seconds to see a page and say, "This is crap". _________________ Chuck Waters

That's my understanding of how things work. Neither the public nor machines are making decisions. This is simply a process to get the information before the proper person to review the site and take whatever actions are appropriate.
