I added adsense code to two of my pages. It is not showing up. Can you please take a look at www.1-stop-free-cell-phones.com and post here if you can see the ads from google ? It shows up sometimes and sometimes it dosen't. Any suggestions ? Thank you for your time.

To your success,
Gana.

I see the Adsense fine on the home page. Couldn't check the other page as I didn't know which one it was.

I will tell you though, once in a while Adsense may go down for a short period of time, they did in the last 2 days for about 10 minutes or so. If it happens again, you want to wait a bit, then check again.

Guest,

I see the ads also, on both the home page, and one of your mobile phones pages.

BTW, I see that the "Ads by Google" text is almost hidden by using the light grey border color. Wait... Rolling Eyes

... just checked! Cool if you use white as your border color, the text "Ads by Google" completely disappears! Mmm, don't know if this is a good or a bad thing... Any thoughts?

Greetz,

Erwin.

Hello Gana.

I checked your home page, but there were no AdSense ads. I got a blank column on the right, so I'm guessing that's where they should be. (I saw you still have the AdSense code in your source, but I didn't take the time to fathom out your tables to be sure this was where they should be.)

However, I have a feeling this is a problem my end, in some way...

To be honest, I often don't see Adsense ads where other people say they are, but sometimes do. I have not disabled JavaScript, but have changed some of the other browser settings from default.

Can anyone confirm, do you need anything other than JavaScript enabled to see the ads?

I feel like returning to default, just to check, but since I see them sometimes, but not others, I don't think this can be the problem.

For example, I used to get ads at the bottom of pages in this forum, but haven't seen any lately. No cats and dogs, as in the experiment, for example.

My poor old brain can't work out why. Any ideas?

Hope this helps,
Charlie.

Charlie are you running Norton Firewall? If you are, and you have checked the block ads, that may be why. Not sure if other products (including adblockers) would do the same thing, but Norton Firewall is known for it with CJ ads of any kind. If they can do CJ, they might be trying others?

As an alternative, do you use IE with security set above medium (medium high or better)? If so, this can cause it too, I believe.

Anyway, that's all I can think of.

I think it will take another week. I mailed google regarding this. They asked me to send some info about my system, browser etc. I will do it after i reach home.
Once again, thanks everyone.

Hello again.

Sorry for the delayed reply, but I've been out of action for a couple of days, due to "sporting commitments"... The Rugby World Cup is in full flow (for those of you who aren't aware)... and I'm "committed" to watching as much of it as possible! Laughing

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions, Debs...

There's no firewall or adblocker software running, but...

I use IE5.5 (plus Google toolbar, but nothing else) with Custom Level settings. Basically prompt for ActiveX, Java and downloads. I can't see why this affects Adsense, which is just Javascript syndication.

As I said, it's the fact that I sometimes see AdSense ads, and sometimes not that's the mystery. If I never saw ads, it would point more to a settings problem.

Please keep us informed, Gana.

All the best,

With the help of the South Africans, this years "fashion" seems to be with as much blood down your front as possible.

I'm not complaining. I think they call it hard but (usually) fair. As Francois Pienaar (the former South African captain) said...

Quote:
Dancing is a contact sport. Rugby's a collision.

(Sorry I can't do the accent.)

Incidentally, the Americans are taking part. The only trouble was, someone had to ask them to leave their helmets (and other armour) in the dressing room.

But do you know what, they even survived. Just. Wink

Cheers,
Charlie.
