Hey guys,
Is anybody aware of a company/individual who will sell stuff for you?
Here's what I mean.
First, imagine you had a great software product idea. Would you click over to Amazon and buy a carton full of books on Perl, mySQL, php so you could learn how to code your idea?
It would be more sensible to go to rent-a-coder and hire somebody who has already spent years learning all this stuff, right?
OK, now look at it from the other side of the fence. Say you are a programmer, a writer, a video tech, a seminar leader or anybody else who has invested a lot of time in to developing some product/service you now want to sell.
Do you now go to Amazon etc and buy a carton full of books on SEO, shopping carts, email promotions, copywriting, super affiliate prospecting etc etc etc?
Would it instead make more sense to hire someone who already has all these skills, and subcontract the selling out to them?
In a real company (more than one person working at home) they don't let the programmers do the selling, or the sales people do the programming. Right?
There has been plenty of discussion here on how to hire outside technical services. Who do you hire sales out to?
No, for purposes of this discussion, I don't want to start an affiliate program, recruit affiliates, write sales pages etc.
How do I farm _all of that_ out to somone who will take the sales ball and run with it in whatever manner their proven experience tells them is best?
And then I get back to creating new products.
I'm sure I haven't thought this through all the way, maybe you'd like to help with that.

Phil, If you have a really brilliant idea, you could hire one of the Internet marketing pioneers like Declan Dunn or Jonathan Mizel. Your challenge would be to get them interested.
I'm sure if you dig for them, you'll find there are lots of marketing companies which claim to provide the sort of services your suggesting. I've come across them from time to time but I haven't kept a file on them because that's not my field.
I receive requests every now again from people who want to hire me. I tell them I'm not for hire.
