Hey I have an intresting thought.

One thing I learned about making websites is that dont make an exit link thats no making any money!

heres the problem... what if you're promoting, lets say an $15 commision product, just before you made a sale, the costumer clicked on the adsense google ad.. then buys their stuff... its like trading cents for a dollar/

tell me your opinion and what you think..

It comes down to how many conversions you can get for that $15 commission. Say you send them 100 visitors and 1 buys. That averages out to 15 cents per visitor.

What if you could make 15 cents on average from Adsense per visitor you send, guaranteed whether that person buys anything or not?

It's all about testing and making tradeoffs.

Hey, no problem

I've been drilled by Gary Antosh to TEST, TEST, TEST.

Try out some different combinations of revenue generation and see what works for you.

I have had the same concerns as you. I tend to follow the Martell style of site, and he seems to be big fan of Adsense, so the money must be good.

What I have decided to do is pull in Adsense using a Frontpage include. That way I can easily test other content (affiliate links) against Adsense when my sites start getting decent amount of traffic. All I will have to do is change out the include file and the new content will start showing up all across my site.

I am still really new to this style of site building, so unfortunately I don't have enough traffic yet to make any test worthwhile. I will report back once I am at that point.

Never fear sending customers away via Adsense.
I've often derided Adsense Only sites because I
figure if I can make a $20 sale from the same page
then I just took care of needing 200+ visitors to click
on my Adsense to accomplish the same thing. So I
use a combination of Adsense and products.

Once, there was a site with Adsense next to the order
button. Someone thought this was ridiculous as it could
detract from a sale. That is ignorant. No one who is
pre-sold properly is going to bail on a purchase at the
order button....not if the ad copy was right and the person
was ready to buy.

But if a person decides at the order button that it's not for
them, then what a great place to have somewhere else for
them to continue their investigation.

It TESTS out just fine. Wink
