Hi all,

I got a giggle after posting in the mlm section, the ad-sense
selections at the bottom were for the discus thrown
in track and field.

Guess dicus and discussion are ad-sensible matches.

Well I think the discus comes in because the url for the forum is

http://www.associateprograms.com/discus/

When content changes too frequently for Adsense to "track it" properly, it defaults to the url. I bet Allan wishes he knew this way back when lol

Are you sure about that? There are several sites I visit often where content changes almost daily and I have never noticed the ads having anything to do with url.

I've also noticed "affiliate program" and college "associate program" ads here on this forum.

"AssociatePrograms.com" is in the URL, but also is written at the top of the page at least three times in the header and logo area.

"Affiliate" is not in the URL but is in the header area as in "The forum for affiliate marketers"

yes, it will pick up from the url (which includes the page title within the url). By the way, neat experiment on dogs and cats Smile

Some time ago I blocked AdSense ads for Discus aquariums Wink

If anyone sees totally inappropriate ads I'd really appreciate it if you'd post the URL that appears in the AdSense ad here so that I can block it.

Thanks.

This forum was revamped before AdSense was invented. At the time, it was easiest to just continue using the URL I'd used when Discus software ran the board.
