Hi Rsitez...

Okay, first off, don't worry too much about earnings. Income follows traffic. So to start with you need to concentrate on traffic.

For CPM, the more traffic you get, the more you'll earn.

For CPC, traffic times percentage of visitors who click through is how much you'll earn... but 1% CTR times 1000 visitors a day to a given page is a ten times more than 1% CTR times 100 visitors a day to the same page, so, it's easier to increase your earnings by focusing on increasing your traffic than it is by increasing your conversion ratio. (It's pretty hard to increase your CR by a factor of ten).

Traffic is even more important for CPA than it is for CPC.

There are two types of traffic:

1) First time traffic
2) Repeat traffic

Repeat traffic is worth more, because if people visit a second time there's an even greater chance they'll come back again. If they come back lots of times, the chance they'll click through on a CPC advert or even buy something from a CPA advert is higher. And every time they come back you'll earn something from all the CPM adverts. Also if you have a regular visitor, the chances are that sooner or later they'll mention your site to someone else they know.

How you can get repeat visitors?

a)By creating a site with resources, information, games etc. that people would want to visit more than once. Ideally something that people would want to check at least once a week, perhaps even more often.

b) By dominating your niche so completely that people searching for certain kinds of information can't help but keep coming back to your site from search engines. Sooner or later, even if they don't realise it at the beginning, the penny will drop that this was the same site they visited last time and eventually they won't come to your site through the search engines - they'll just come straight to your site.

c) By impressing people sufficiently that they bookmark your site... thus increasing the likelihood that they will visit the site again.

d) Similarly, by encouraging people to recommend your site to a friend. If someone recommends a site to their friend, there is an increased likelihood that they themselves will visit the site again.

e) By having a RSS feed that people can subscribe to. (Yes, alright, or an email newsletter Smile

When the traffic starts building up, you'll see the earnings increase as a result. Then you'll be in a position to see which income streams are the most profitable and spend more time developing those. (Though even "less successful" income streams are better than nothing at all).

Thanks for a detailed mail about traffic..... I will be working on the ideas asap!!

Have you visited my site ? If not, please do....and do provide me with your feedback on how to really make this site work...coz I have all my hopes on earning big time eventually from it..... I guess you would understand on how a newbie feels since you've been there too....
I really want it to work.....and it's been 4 months and ......nothing as yet....!

It is still in the process of gettin its final touch...

I believe I have provided relevant and profitable resourses and info on the site...
I have also provided a Join-My-Mailing-List option but noone seems to wanna subscribe... Smile

I really do agree with you....traffic first then earnings....
As far as the adveristising goes, my funds are not so good.... kindly let me know of the best advertising options having minimum investments..
