This maybe be fundamental, but I'll
ask anyway.
Usually if you want to make say "burton snowboards"
rank higher you link other pages using burton snowboards
as the anchor text to the burton snowboards page.
I have found that some of my rankings come from
my related articles page or site map. Ex. burton cruzer
snowboard is ranked, but it was found on my related
articles page, my burton cruzer snowboard page is ranked
lower.
Why..... I think because burton cruzer snowboard is a text
link on my related articles page. So if I use burton cruzer snowboard
as a text link on my burton cruzer snowboard page it should
help it rank higher.
James Martell has a little text link for the primary keyword
of the page, but it links to itself. This must not be strong enough,
it should link to another related page.
Is this right?

Is this proven to help in SEO? |
