The Homeland Security Information System from AlertsUSA is a wireless alert service providing high quality, open-source intelligence on terrorist threats and actions against the United States and its citizens and interests abroad. Content is delivered initially as a text message sent to a subscriber's cellular telephone. Subscribers can then optionally dial into a streaming audio server to hear a detailed version of the alert, delivered LIVE OR ON-DEMAND, depending on circumstances.
