    Have you heard the old advice about how you've only got a few seconds to capture someones attention online?

    Today I stumbled upon some interesting data while I was trying in vain to get some reliable intel on my video effectiveness. Unfortunately, while there are a few hacks using event tracking, Google Analytics falls short in that area.


    If you're not doing video in your sales process, you're going to fail.

    Well.. at least that is what all the IM gurus seem to keep banging on about.

    Well it's certainly hot right now. However, I think a lot of people need to have a cold shower and get a little grounded about the whole subject.

However, I've noticed an attitude out there that people assume if you throw a video onto your site, you're going to get an increase in sales.

    So is it true? If you don't use video, will you no longer be able to keep up with your competitors who have fancy video on their sites?


    I still shake my head at this stuff sometimes.

    You often read in the newspaper or talk with company reps about how they’re stoked because their business saw 20% growth in the previous year.

    Of course, this is good stuff. However, these companies often have had hundreds or thousands of employees working their tails off to see this kind of growth.
