Associate Programs Newsletter #520
Allan Gardyne here…
When I interviewed super affiliate Jeff Ostroff back in 2000, he was the No.1 affiliate, or in the top 10, of several affiliate programs.
Eleven years later, he’s still going strong, now in a business partnership with two former co-workers.
His main website gets 10,000 to 15,000 visitors a day.
In a new interview, he discusses why he’s successful, and also talks about scammers, scrapers, high tech criminals, taking care where and how you advertise, and why his AdSense ads are so unobtrusive.
Here’s the interview…
Jeff Ostroff, affiliate success story revisited, including warnings for other affiliates
Super Affiliate Success Story
A faster route to success
Jeff Ostroff’s style of affiliate marketing is to earn serious commissions by creating time-consuming sites that contain hundreds of pages of useful free advice.
In total contrast, Australians Marc Lindsay and Daniel Turner have mastered a different way of doing successful affiliate marketing.
They build basic, very quick, 5-page websites that continue to earn revenue month after month with little maintenance.
They’ve been using this process to make a full-time living online for 5 years. Thousands of their students are seeing continuing success using it, too.
Marc lives not far from me on the Gold Coast. I’ve met him a couple of times.
He believes in providing really good value. He’s even willing to show you two of his successful sites.
(You’ll need your speakers turned on so you can hear Marc explain their system.)
COMING SOON: Successful affiliate business partnership
Every accountant I know can tell you horror stories about business partnerships that failed disastrously, so should you avoid going into partnership with other affiliates?
Probably, well… maybe.
Just to confuse you, I discussed with Jeff Ostroff his business partnership, which IS successful.
Watch out for my interview with Jeff about his successful affiliate business partnership. He has valuable insights to offer affiliates who want to grow.
Thought for today: Doing what you love
“The life you spend doing what you love is a different life indeed from putting your life out to hire to the highest bidder. The only way you can can say it makes no difference is to say life makes no difference.” – Laurence G. Boldt.
All the best
