Last week's review of our NPC sites raised a wide range of comments and questions from people so I thought this week I would try to answer some of them and maybe expand a little further on some points.

Just to refresh your memory, I was discussing that last year, we started a little experiment. We decided to implement the Niche Profit Classroom training course to see what we could achieve.

We hired a couple of "newbie" outsourcers to trial the NPC program for us, gave them access to the training and the software and then watched to see whether they could successfully build a site. Also, we wanted to see if the sites achieved any success in the search engines.

From a large set of comments both public and private:

MaryC noted how important the prewritten content was for her.

This was one of the great parts of the NPC training. Not only do you get the webinars, videos, PDFs etc but you also get prewritten niche packs that are ready to load on to your hosting. Using the tools provided, you can auto upload a whole website at once. There are multiple free niche packs covering topics ranging from “Reduce Clutter” to “Mole, Wart Removal”. ☺

Once that is done, all you need to do is go through and rewrite the text to make it more original. Last week Google released formula changes regarding duplicate content and how they handle it. In a nutshell, you don’t want to directly use other people’s content any more or Google will push your rankings down.

Neil wanted to know more about the type of promotion we carried out.

To the best of my knowledge, up until December, the only promotion the outsourcers carried out upon the sites were the promotional steps laid out in the training.

From December onwards, Tom took over the management of the sites and he has been building a regular stream of high PageRank, profile and forum links to each site. Due to the amount of time we have him working, the number of links averages out to about 25 a week across the sites.

Judy gave us her feedback about learning a lot that she can apply across all of her internet marketing.

I think this is worth noting. There are many courses out there but the training isn’t always as comprehensive as the NPC training. The guys have really over delivered on this front. The clean layout of the members’ area also makes finding what you need simple.

The content is structured in a way that steps you through every process that you need to follow and there are screen movies showing you what steps to take as well. As a former teacher, I really appreciated the importance of this step-by-step structure.

Robert asked about unique visitors vs total vistors vs search engine referrers.

I think it's always important to look at unique visitors whenever possible. Page views might look flashy because of the high number but they’re no indicator of traffic. I do like to see where the traffic is coming from and in the case of these sites, 88% was coming from Google. Referring sites accounted for 7% of the remaining traffic and most of that was from EzineArticles.com.

I guess that is no surprise because we haven’t advertised our domains to anyone and the promotion was built only around SEO and articles.

Ngatai asked about the niches chosen.

The niches were chosen based upon the niche packs available at the time we set the outsourcers to work. There wasn’t any keyword research done to choose the niche. In following with the training, keyword research was done when adjusting the content and the onsite SEO.

David asked about whether we used a blog or HTML pages.

When you use the NPC program, your sites are built on a WordPress CMS. This makes the management of the site easy for a beginner. Rather than using HTML sites which require users to learn a great deal more about FTP and other tools, WordPress allows you to upload images and more directly through your browser. Better still, you can make changes from anywhere in the world without specialist software.

KJM wanted to know more about how it compared with SBI.

I think that both programs are similar but different. Yes, I know that sounds odd.

Site Build It has a very good training system and an amazing track record for helping people create money making sites. Ken Evoy has developed an amazingly successful tool that we, and many others, have used with a lot of success.

One of our SBI sites alone is still bringing in over $1000 a month from affiliate commissions and advertising. SBI is one of our most highly recommended affiliate products. It is also on our favorite tools and training programs list.

Niche Profit Classroom is reasonably new to the market but has two successful marketers behind it. We have seen some results but the long-term success is yet to be seen by us. The training is clear, easy to follow and well paced and the niche packs give you a starting point if you’re an absolute newbie. The skills that you will be taught are grounded in proven marketing methods.

In the end, you can try the $1 trial, and even if it’s not for you, you’re bound to have learned something useful.
