Internet marketing books, courses and manuals are being published in a tiresome, never-ending stream. I’ve studied an awful lot of them, and perhaps you have, too.
Unfortunately, many of these Internet marketing books are full of garbage, written by wanna-be marketers who haven’t done anything more than stitch together bits and pieces of other people’s ideas.
Others are written by academics who have never sold ANYTHING – except their books.
So it’s no surprise that much of the advice in these marketing books doesn’t work, or doesn’t work well. Some of those tired old marketing tips worked years ago but are useless now because the Internet marketing scene changes so rapidly.
If you’re going to follow the advice of Internet marketing “experts”, you need to be absolutely certain they know what they’re talking about.
Marketing techniques learned the hard way
Enter Ken Evoy, author of Make Your Site Sell!
He has discovered how to sell products on the Internet because he learned the hard way, from first-hand online marketing experience.
Ken is multi-talented.
He’s a Canadian physician who formerly taught and practiced emergency medicine at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
He and his wife designed toys and games and sold 23 of their inventions to large companies around the world, generating millions of dollars in royalty revenues.
Ken loves new challenges.
As a hobby, he developed a successful investing strategy in a highly specialized niche market. Despite using the strategy only infrequently, he turned a $5,000 experimental stake into more than $150,000.
Then he gathered all his loose-strewn notes and rough database and converted that chaos into investing software, originally intended for his own use.
However, he was captivated by the Internet and decided to try to sell his “niche-investing” software.
“I realized right from Day 1 that my investing software would be virtually impossible to sell!” Ken says. “You will never have to sell a product as difficult-to-sell as my first Web product.”
Here’s why he faced such a difficult challenge:
- It was a little known investing niche – and those who did know about it, had a negative impression about it.
- Ken was an unknown in investing circles – “not only was I not Warren Buffet, I was a doctor – much worse!”
- He could not even permit a trial download (due to the unique nature of the niche).
- He was selling it at a high price.
Despite all those difficulties, Ken designed a site to sell this “near-impossible-to-sell” product and figured out how to attract targeted traffic.
It was quite a challenge.
“That ‘challenge’ netted (after expenses, which were minimal) my wife and I over $1,000 per day, up to $5,000 some days,” Ken says.
While marketing that first product on the Web, a two-year trial-and-error process developed into a tight, battlefield-tested, Net-selling system that works… and will work for you, no matter what you’re trying to sell on the Web.
The Bible of selling on the Net
That system became Make Your Site Sell! (MYSS!) And to make a longish story short, MYSS! became the “Bible of selling on the Net.”
It also became the foundation for an entire range of products from SiteSell, products which have sold by the tens of thousands over the last two years.
As the SiteSell business grows rapidly, Ken has refined his successful Internet marketing techniques even more, and now you can benefit from those years of hard-won experience to make YOUR site sell.
You’ll find Ken’s revelations and seasoned strategies fascinating. While reading his manual you’ll experience lots of moments where you suddenly think: “So THAT’S what I should be doing!”
Ken explains why most web sites fail to sell, and shows you, careful step by step, exactly how to make your site get the sale, whether you’re selling books, beans, or basketballs.
Even if you’re selling other people’s products, you need to know the techniques described to lure potential customers and achieve the sale.
To me, “MYSS!” is a frequently referred to reference manual which has been a huge help in making my business grow. Whenever I hire a new member of staff I make sure “MYSS!” is the first Internet marketing book they read.
“MYSS! 2002” contains three main volumes, which tell you precisely how to:
- STEP 1 – Develop a great product – position it for Web sales.
- STEP 2 – Build a site that really sells.
- STEP 3 – Attract targeted traffic to the site.
What makes Ken’s products so popular is that he always OVER-delivers, providing his readers with far more than they ever expected.
He does exactly the same thing with Make Your Site Sell! 2002., the brand new version of MYSS! This Internet marketing book is hugely expanded, and now has more than 1,500 pages.
The traffic-building volume alone contains 451 pages.
Because Ken’s products are always fantastic value, I love recommending them.
So do many other people. For example, when the first edition of “MYSS!” came out, Matt Hockin of the highly respected Multimedia Marketing Group said:
I just read the book and found that it is the BEST information on the subject of “how to make your site sell” that I have EVER read . . . The book covers everything you need to know from beginning to end about making your site sell. It’s very thorough and I highly recommend it.
It would be hard find a better testimonial than that!
However, the new, updated and vastly expanded version of “MYSS!” is even better. Don’t think of it as an update. It’s a whole new manual.
This new Internet marketing book is the absolutely essential manual for anyone selling anything online.
[UPDATE: After selling more than 100,000 copies, this highly acclaimed classic is now free. Don’t ignore it simply because it was published some time ago. Most of the invaluable advice it contains is timeless.]
