1. Life-changing new book free
==============================
I got up at 5am today and spent two hours reading Yanik Silver’s brand new book, marking it with a highlighter, taking notes and having some quiet time to sit and watch the waves and think about the book’s message.
It’s an incredibly powerful book – and you can get it free.
The essence of the book, “34 Rules for Maverick Entrepreneurs”, began when Yanik was flying home from a brainstorming session at Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island.
“I just started jotting down all my own rules for successful entrepreneurial endeavors. The same ones that have helped me achieve financial independence and become a millionaire before turning 31,” Yanik says.
You may have seen what came next. Yanik published his “34 Rules for Maverick Entrepreneurs” on his blog.
Inspired by enthusiastic comments, he’s now expanded the blog post into a 124-page, physical book. He’s taken each rule, explained it more fully and added real-world illustrations.
Many of these rules are deceptively simple but incredibly profound. They’re rules for achieving business breakthroughs and getting much more out of life.
For example…
Rule 6: “You get to make the rules for your business. Don’t let industry norms dictate how you’re going to work or who you’re going to work with.”
Rule 7: “Create your business around your life, instead of settling for your life around your business.”
Rule 20: “Focus most of your time on your core strengths and less time working in areas you suck at.”
Yanik explains in the book why these rules are so important.
This is a life-changing, truly brilliant book. On page after page, I’ve highlighted sections that I want to return to think about again.
Yanik is giving away his new book as just one of several freebies to persuade you to try his new physical newsletter.
However, you ALSO get the first edition of his new physical newsletter free – all you pay is postage and handling.
Yanik’s Maverick Rule No.2 says…
“Strive to create 10 times to 100 times in value for any price you charge. Your rewards are always proportionate to the value you provide.”
That’s exactly what he’s doing with this freebie offer – providing extraordinary, exceptional value.
I hate it when people claim something is “free” and then you find you actually have to pay for something else to get it. So let’s be perfectly clear here…
All you pay to try Yanik’s new “Maverick Business Insider” newsletter for a month, and get his new book, 2 CDs, and his “$15,000” DVD of “Instant Leverage Points in Your Business That Bring You Surges of Cash” is postage and handling. Nothing else.
The first edition of the newsletter has an interview with Mike Geary, who’s on track to generate $3 million to $4 million this year with just ONE book on ClickBank. Mike talks candidly about the mistakes he’s made and the things he learned.
(By the way, Yanik’s 124-page book is NOT a disguised or undisguised ad for something. At the end, there’s a short “Afterword” containing testimonials for Yanik’s Maverick Business Adventures, an exclusive group of successful entrepreneurs and business owners who have get-togethers and thrilling adventures and believe in giving back.)
You’ll probably want to make Yanik’s new book your business bible. It really is that good.

2. Do you take vacations?
=========================
Joanna and I have got over our jet lag after our European trip and river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam.
What made this a REAL holiday for me was the fact that we left our laptops at home – a major milestone for us. I think I touched a keyboard only three or four times in a month. (I admit that was partly because the Internet access we’d been promised on the Scenic Tours ships was almost non-existent.)
Joanna’s now insisting that what we had wasn’t really a vacation – she says it was an “organized trip”.
It turned out to be much more organized and much busier than we’d expected. We pictured spending most of the time lazily cruising the Danube and Rhine, watching the beautiful scenery go by. We had a few days like that, but mostly the ship traveled at night and we spent too much time on buses being talked at by tour guides. I think I’ve seen enough castles, palaces and cathedrals to last a lifetime.
To top off the experience, Joanna suffered what her doctor says was probably a small pulmonary embolism, a clot on the lung. We spent a frustrating afternoon in a hospital in Bratislava, Slovakia, trying without success to get the ailment diagnosed. Rather tricky, when the doctor speaks only a few words of English. She’s recovering well.
However, we did have some good times wandering around quaint old villages in Germany and listening to wonderfully talented street musicians in Prague. We made some interesting new friends on the ship. And we’ve now had a meal up the real Eiffel Tower as well as up the imitation one in Las Vegas.
This was the first vacation we’ve ever had that was organized for us. I doubt if we’ll ever do that again.
While Yanik Silver likes to do things like running with the bulls, bungee jumping, sky diving and car road rallies, my idea of the perfect vacation is a quiet spot, a pleasant view, a carton of good novels, and peaceful places for walks. I’ll remember that next time.
If you’re building a new business, remember to plan right from the start to build a system which allows you to take vacations. Make a list of every essential task and find a way to delegate those tasks. If you can’t do this, you don’t really have a business – you have a job. It might be a very good job, but it’s still a job.
Perhaps you’re young and full of energy and think you can survive without vacations but – trust me – one day you’ll NEED a vacation. If you’re not planning for it, start planning now.
