Affiliate program management | Sales Army Secrets review

If you're looking for advice on affiliate program management, naturally you want to make sure you get the advice from a successful affiliate manager with proven skills.

Here's an excellent place to start...

Jimmy D. Brown, author of the new ebook, Sales Army Secrets, has been selling info products online VERY successfully since 1999. His No.1 source of traffic - by far - has been what he calls "partner traffic" - his affiliates.

In Sales Army Secrets, Jimmy describes how he finds, recruits and motivates his affiliates, and manages his affiliate program. Well, actually, he now has an affiliate manager who does the affiliate program management. He tells you how to hire such a person./p>

Getting a copy of this book was very timely for us. My business partner, Jay, and I read it a few days before we were due to launch Version 3.0 of our SpeedPPC system.

As we scrambled to apply some of Jimmy's techniques, I kept wishing the book had arrived earlier. Just ONE tip from the book on how to recruit super affiliates has had a dramatic impact on our affiliate program. Thanks, Jimmy!

sales army secretsI've made a careful study of affiliate recruitment and affiliate motivation, but several of Jimmy's highly effective tips were new to me.

He describes 20 ways to find and recruit affiliates. I'd be amazed if you know them all. Jimmy is REALLY good at recruiting affiliates - I know because I have first-hand experience seeing how he works. His affiliate manager recruited me.

He also describes 30 strategies to get your affiliates actively promoting your products.

His advanced affiliate recruiting techniques and innovative ways of "recruiting indirectly" will give you heaps of ideas to ramp up your affiliate program.

Contents of Sales Army Secrets

Here's a summary of the book's contents...

Setting Up Your Affiliate Program. This is the shortest chapter. The book doesn't tell you how to set up an affiliate program. Jimmy uses ClickBank and, as he says, ClickBank already gives you instructions on how to set up an account with them.

Creating An Affiliate Center. "This is where 85% of affiliate program managers blow it and never see the sales they desire," Jimmy says. He describes ways to light a fire under your affiliates, by educating them and giving them the tools they need to succeed. This is an absolute MUST-read section. It's superb. Our affiliate management team will be reading and re-reading this and taking notes. You should, too.

Finding Motivated Affiliates. Jimmy's list of 20 ways to find affiliates, including super affiliates. A hugely important chapter, with some very innovative, useful ideas.

Getting Affiliates to Say "Yes".  He tells you exactly how to get affiliates to agree to join your affiliate program and promote your products. Superb advice.

Keeping Affiliates Active. How to motivate your affiliates so that they'll stay loyal and promote your products and services for months and even years. Another hugely important section.

Expanding Your Program Automatically. Creative ways to recruit affiliates "indirectly" and grow your sales team.

Working With An Affiliate Manager. How to hire an affiliate manager (without investing any out of pocket expense) to run your entire program for you. If you get this right, you can ramp up your program, while freeing yourself to do other important tasks. This section includes a comprehensive interview with valuable insights from Jimmy's affiliate program manager. Again, you're learning from someone who actually DOES this stuff very successfully.

There's no padding - the main part of the course is just 105 pages. However, make sure you explore all the useful bonuses, resources, checklists, emails to send to affiliates, etc. You also get the entire affiliate program management course in MP3 format, so you can listen to it on your iPod, MP3 player or computer.

Sales Army Secrets may not tell you every single thing you need to know to manage an affiliate program successfully, but it comes very close. It zeroes in on the MOST IMPORTANT things you must know. It's an up-to-date manual on affiliate program management. A superb book - fantastic value.

We'll be reading and re-reading it. You should, too.

I'm definitely going to read this book. I just have a question. Does it also apply to affiliates marketing actual products, namely bottles of car wax, car polish, tire dressing? The stuff the professional detailers use to make cars look and smell new - including the engines. Any info on this would be nice as I'm a new, newbie.

Thanks - I love your site. I don't want to leave but I'll go soon! It's a refreshing change to actually get to believe what you read!

Here's an old saying: Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear! Not on this site though -- thanks again!

[Thank you! The book does not contain any specific information for merchants selling physical products. However, nearly all the advice is suitable for all affiliate merchants, such as finding good affiliates and managing an affiliate program effectively. Allan.]
