Associate Programs Newsletter #504
This is the final say, for now, on the Google Farmer update. I’ve decided to leave it to a man well qualifed to comment because he can base his arguments from fact – tens of thousands of websites’ stats…
SBI creator Ken Evoy puts his thoughts forward on the effects of the update, what you can do about it and how to future proof your affiliate business (as much as that’s possible).
Next week we move on… to social media and how affiliates are using Facebook’s new features to build their businesses.
CONTENTS:
1. SBI vs Google Farmer – Ken Evoy’s Response
2. My Week – Planning
3. Thought for Today – Plans
4. Cool Site – Rockmelt Social Browser
1) SBI vs Google Farmer – Ken Evoy’s Response
Ken Evoy’s position on quality content is well known but how did SBI and the thousands of sites built following Ken’s training fare in the Farmer update?
He puts forward his knowledge of the effect on some sites, what he thinks of Google and their approach to these changes, how to submit your site if you think you’ve been wronged and what you can do to ensure that you build a strong foundation for your affiliate website moving forward.
Ken’s insider knowledge of the Internet marketing business is second to none, that’s why we promote SBI as one of our top affiliate products as well as our top affiliate training programs.

2) My Week – Planning
This week has been filled with planning. Planning updates to Associate Programs, business planning, blueprinting layouts, keyword research, planning articles and future planning.
It never hurts to take a morning out to sit down and draw out a diagram of what you’re trying to achieve and what needs to be done to get there. Personally, I like a big sheet of butcher paper on which I can draw circles, write comments, add links between sections and build a basic blueprint.
I can make it pretty later but you know what?
I often don’t because just drawing it out cements the steps in my mind and it seems to just happen after that.
A good, but simple, plan saves you time by allowing you to focus on what what you have to do and what you have to ignore.
3) Thought for Today – Plans
“Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.” – Napoleon Hill.
4) Cool Tool – Rockmelt Social Browser
From the man who brought you Netscape comes a fantastic new browser. Yes, completely new and it costs nothing. It comes fully integrated with Facebook, Twitter and all your other social media and RSS feeds.
It’s life changing…
