1.Who wants a link from a PageRank 5 page?
========================================

I've decided to offer some of my readers links from PageRank 5 web pages - at no charge.

Naturally, an arrangement this good can't possibly be available to all 24,000 readers of this newsletter.

Read on to see if you qualify.

To boost your rankings in search engines, it's important that you get a few strong links from high quality, high PageRank pages. You need each link to come from a page containing content that is related to your site's topic.

The more competitive the field, the more high-quality links you need.

I'm offering to help in what I see as a win-win arrangement.

What I'm offering...

On AssociatePrograms.com in the Affiliates Dictionary section nearly all those pages have a Google PageRank of 5. (The odd new page isn't showing PageRank yet.)

Do you have a high-quality website - or a really good web page - providing useful, helpful information about some aspect of affiliate marketing?

If so, I may want to link to your site.

This wouldn't be a link in a links directory. I want to include your links naturally in articles - in existing articles and in new articles yet to be written.

No gimmicks.

Just good, solid, natural linking arrangements that the search engines - and visitors to our sites - will love.

(Google's Director of Technology, Craig Silverstein, says, "You should look for quality links from relevant neighbors" and "You want sites with high PageRanks to link to you, and not to other people.")

Here's how you qualify...

I'd like a high-quality link to either - or both - of these sites:

http://www.LifetimeCommissions.com
http://www.PayPerClickSearchEngines.com

You, too, would use the link naturally in an article.

For example, in an article on your site about different kinds of affiliate programs, you could mention LifetimeCommissions.com, which reviews lifetime commission programs and residual income programs.

In an article about pay-per-click search engines, you could mention the Internet's first directory of pay-per-click search engines - PayPerClickSearchEngines.com.

Or perhaps you'd prefer to link to a specific page, such as http://www.PayPerClickSearchEngines.com/free-ppc-traffic.shtml

I'm sure you'll appreciate that this is a very attractive offer. If you were buying PageRank 5 links, you could easily pay $30 to $40 a month for a link.

Write to me and tell me why I should link to your site.

I've set up a special email address for you to write to...

The sooner you get your ideas to me, the sooner I can start work on them. First in, first served.

2. The best ways to build incoming links now
========================================

My offer of high-quality, natural linking arrangements was sparked by reading two articles.

First, one by search engine expert Stephen Mahaney:

12 Essential Strategies for Building & Structuring Inbound Links
http://www.marketposition.com/mp-1204.htm

Then I read Ken Evoy's new ebook, "Make Your Links WORK! The 80-20 Keep-It-Real Guide to Linking".

If you're in a hurry, I strongly recommend you read at least Chapter 3, "The Best Ways to Build Incoming Links Now".

Ken tracks the search engine rankings of more than 10,000 sites created using Site Build It, so he's in an exceptionally rare position to see what works and what doesn't.

Can you think of any other expert/guru on the Internet who's tracking the rankings of more than 10,000 websites? I can't.

He's in a unique position to KNOW what actually works and give you real, inside info - and he's doing it free.

5. New version of Firefox and a plugin
========================================

Straight after recommending Firefox in my last newsletter (I still like it) I learned that there was a new browser spoofing vulnerability which affects Firefox and other browsers, but not Internet Explorer.

Here's the story:
http://www.netsquirrel.com/articles/mozilla_spoofing.html

However, Firefox 1.0.1 has now been released, plugging this security hole and fixing some minor bugs.

Also, there's a Search Plugin for FireFox here:

It simplifies searching a site from your browser.
