Chance to get $50 worth of clicks

Associate Programs Newsletter #357

Have you tried the new free AdCenter keyword research tool? Craig is getting VERY enthusiastic about it.

Here's the second article in the review series he's doing.

Plus a chance to get $50 worth of clicks...

CONTENTS:

1. Keyword research review - Part 2, lateral searches
2. $50 worth of clicks
3. Achieving your childhood dreams
4. Hiring employees versus outsourcing
5. Want to comment?
6. Thought for today: Brick walls

1. Keyword research review - Part 2, lateral searches
=====================================================

The more Craig uses the new free adCenter keyword research tool, the more enthusiastic he gets about it.

Do try it. You'll be surprised how useful it is.

Here's the second article in the review series Craig is doing...

How to Lateral Search with Microsoft's adCenter Keyword Tool
http://www.KeywordWorkshop.com/articles/50/1/How-to-Lateral-Search-with-Microsoft%26%2339%3Bs-adCenter-Keyword-Tool

The keyword research tool is free, so there has to be a catch, right? The first catch is that to use it, you need to have a copy of Excel 2007. Craig gives you a link to a free trial version.

The second catch is that it won't work on a Mac. I guess we had to expect that from Microsoft.

2. $50 worth of clicks
======================

If you're quick, you can still get $50 worth of free adCenter clicks - but you'll have to be quick because the offer is nearly over. It ends after February 29, 2008.

You can often get good quality, cheap traffic from adCenter, so those $50 worth of clicks are worth grabbing.

[UPDATE: The "$50 worth of clicks free" offer has ended. However, you can sometimes get free clicks if you keep an eye on the main page at PayPerClickSearchEngines.com.]

3. Achieving your childhood dreams
==================================

Millions have watched various versions of this...

Randy Pausch is dying of pancreatic cancer.

On September 18, 2007, he made a "Last Lecture" to his students. It's called "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams".

You may think you don't have 76 minutes to spare to watch this. Just watch a few seconds and see what you think. If you're like me, you'll be hooked. Randy Pausch is quite extraordinary.

You can watch the "Last Lecture" video in the archived version of this newsletter...

4. Hiring employees versus outsourcing
======================================

Your online business is expanding. Should you hire employees or outsource? My business partner, Jay Stockwell, and I have strongly differing opinions on this. Here's why...

6. Thought for today: Brick walls

"...remember, the brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something." - Randy Pausch.

All the best

Allan, thank you VERY much for pointing me to that amazing presentation by Randy Pausch. I just finished watching all 76 minutes of it (couldn't stop after the first few minutes, you were right, it's riveting stuff). Looking back, I am not surprised the message resonates with you, because it could just as easily be a presentation YOU gave. I'm reminded of the time you showed, by example, how to face the most terrible adversity with a positive attitude - and of the short report I wrote at the time and have shared with thousands of my readers as a shining example of the power of positivity and optimism. I located the report on my hard drive, and am sure your readers will still find it inspiring. It's here for download:

Thanks again for the link to Randy Pausch's video, Allan. I'll be ordering a copy on DVD to share with the important people in my life.
All success
Dr.Mani

[Thanks for your kind words. I was amazed to see a man dying from cancer doing push-ups on stage. I was hooked from that moment on. Allan.]

Hi,
I am a regular reader of your newsletter. It is full of useful tips even though i am not a regular internet maketer. I have seen the full video of Randy Pausch, "Last Lecture". It made me cry. How can one take his death so lightly and move forward. He did so much to Artificial Intelligence and virtual reality. The humour in his lecture is awesome. He made his wife to cut her birthday cake on the stage, which is lovely. I think, all the students and fellow professors and his family, friends all will really miss him.

Allan, What an absolutely awesome, awesome lecture that was by Professor Randy Pausch!! Thanks SO much for recommending it. I nearly didn't watch it when you said it took 76 minutes, but I'm so glad I did - I can't think of anything more important I could have done. I shed a tear or two, too, I don't mind admitting.

Craig, Good work on the adCenter keyword research tool. I look forward to reading the rest of your series. I'm surprised Microsoft is giving away that keyword tool. I suppose they'll make up for it in PPC sales in the long run, though.
