Accidental super affiliate

3 key ingredients can make you a super affiliate

I never consider myself a super affiliate or an affiliate marketer. That is not what I’d call my official “job title.”

However, when I DO promote something, I usually end up in the top 10 affiliates. So I become a super affiliate by accident. I consider affiliate marketing something I do to generate revenue, additional streams of income without selling my own products.

But, I NEVER look at affiliate marketing as a stand-alone business. I take it seriously, but to me it isn’t a business.

Affiliate marketing as a revenue model

Affiliate marketing is what I do but not my job. There is a difference. It is a way to generate revenue, additional streams of income without selling my own products.

You can’t just be an affiliate marketer.

I take it seriously, but to me it isn’t a business. It is a revenue model. A revenue model is a tool for creating passive or residual income. Income that comes in through outlets other than through selling your own products.

I find there are three key ingredient that help you create wealth and create a successful business. These key ingredients have nothing to do with affiliate marketing directly, but if you use them, you can become a super affiliate.

Key Ingredient #1 – Build Your List

Instead of focusing on affiliate marketing, the first thing I focus on is building my list using my own products. I have over 10 products, and my primary focus is on marketing these products.

Key Ingredient #2 – Focus On YOUR Affiliates
I also have affiliates of my own marketing and selling my products, so I work on creating a win-win environment.

I think you never want to make money 100% just marketing other people’s products. You should have your own front end product, even if it is a low ticket item like an ebook, and use this to create a business and use affiliate marketing to produce residual income.

Key Ingredient #3 – Build Relationships
When concentrating on my products, my focus is always on building relationships with my customers. This is the most important ingredient, the one that will allow you to become a super affiliate. There are two parts to building relationships; building trust and building loyalty.

Once you do that, the rest is easy. Here is what you do. Get people to your site, maximize traffic, and then convert visitors to buyers.

I work on converting all my traffic to subscribers and customers.

How do I do that? It all goes back to relationships. You have to build trusting and loyal relationships with your customers. Once you do that, when you market an affiliate product most will buy because they already trust you. They trust your products.

So, whenever I endorse someone else’s products, a large percentage of my subscribers and visitors will buy them.  By creating solid relationships, I make a lot of affiliate commissions. That’s how I became a super affiliate “by accident” if you will.

When you focus on building relationships, focus on how you can add value to your customer’s lives.

When building relationships, I focus on what how I can add value to my customer’s lives by making their life easier. If you focus on that instead of how to make money with affiliate marketing, ultimately you will win.

In a nutshell, to become a super affiliate, you have to (1) build relationships and (2) focus on delivering value by creating good products. Do so and you will automatically realize financial success as a byproduct of your relationships with subscribers and visitors.

It just doesn’t work to focus on affiliate marketing alone. Focus on building your relationships, then you can become a super affiliate without even trying.

I found this to be a thought provoking article. Pretty much everything I've read that I consider to be substantive says the same thing. That your focus has be on adding value to your clients' lives. How can I make things easier, faster, better than whatever product they are using right now. First and foremost is to build that trust and credibility that you address so eloguently. Thanks for confirming what I've been reading.
