The ebook cover above was made entirely in eCover Generator using one of the built-in templates. There are about 45 templates built in that suit a wide range of topics. Doing this was so easy that I didn't need to refer to the online help. As you can see, the template covers look professional.
The second cover was made using custom images edited in Photoshop. The ability to use custom images is a great feature of eCover Generator. This allows you to put your own images such as a photo of yourself on the cover.
To create custom covers you will need another image editing program to crop and resize the images. This process is made easy in the program's help files. eCover generator also gives you instructions for downloading and using a free image editor called Free-Draw. This makes eCover Generator all you'd need to create your own custom ebook covers.
I did find, however, that I couldn't overlay eCover's text on images I had imported. This meant that I had to do the text in the graphics program. So you have to create the look of the entire cover before using the finished image in eCover generator. eCover Generator gives you the choice of also making covers for three-sided boxes. These would be useful graphics for software downloads.
