1. How super affiliate Rosalind made $436,797 last year
=============================================
Paying attention to detail was vitally important in Rosalind
Gardner's last job - she was an air traffic controller.
Getting the details right still rewards her well. As a super
affiliate, she made $436,797 last year.
She explains how in her new ebook.
It's called "The Super Affiliate Handbook: How I Made $436,797
Last Year Selling Other People's Stuff".
You've probably read about Rosalind in Corey Rudl's private site,
"Secrets to Their Success".
If you haven't, you can get a free trial to the private site here
- http://www.AssociatePrograms.com/success-secrets .
Corey's interview describes how Rosalind generates $30,000 to
$50,000 a month in affiliate commissions.
Her new 267-page handbook goes into a whole lot more detail.
Chapters include:

... and that's just a taste. There's a lot more.
Rosalind is extremely thorough in the way the runs her affiliate
business and in the way she describes in detail what you need to
do to get things right.
For example, she describes regular tasks you should be doing to
keep your affiliate business on track. There are tasks to be
performed daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly.
One thing you'll find fascinating is how different Rosalind's
approach is from that of super affiliate James Martell -
http://www.AssociatePrograms.com/james .
James achieves his huge success by using clever techniques to
attract masses of visitors from search engines, without paying
for the traffic.
In total contrast, Rosalind pays for visitors to her sites. She
now spends thousands of dollars a month in advertising.
However, she doesn't expect you to begin with that sort of
expenditure.
In "The Super Affiliate Handbook" she describes how to start your
affiliate business quickly, easily and inexpensively.
The aim is to spend big dollars on advertising only once you've
proved that the techniques you're using are profitable.
"Pay-per-click advertising needs to TOP your list of marketing
strategies," she says.
"Your primary method of promotion will be through the pay-per-
click search engines..."
She also believes in building content-rich sites, but unlike many
content-rich sites, hers don't have many external links.
Try to keep all links on your site productive, she advises. "Any
link that leaves your site should be a revenue-generating,
affiliate link."
For her, this method works beautifully.
She can pay for traffic because her visitor-to-sales ratio is
much higher than the average affiliate's.
Rosalind says the average visitor-to-sales conversion rate for a
good affiliate program is between 0.5% and 1%. In other words,
only one in every 100 or 200 visitors you send to the merchant
will buy.
That's dismal, she says.
"You CAN do much better than that. My conversion rates average
between 2.5% and 6%, and many are much higher depending on the
type of product sold."
She reveals how she achieves these higher than average results.
Part of the answer is in choosing affiliate programs very
carefully. She explains how she does that.
If you've been choosing the "wrong" programs, this one chapter
could be worth thousands of dollars to you.
Another part of the answer is that Rosalind builds fairly simple
but very professional looking sites that people trust. She
discusses that, too.
She also writes compelling words.
There's more to it than that, of course.
What Rosalind seems to do is get EVERY little detail of her
affiliate business right.
That's how she made more than $400,000 last year.
Rosalind says her Internet business has enabled her to quit her
job as an air traffic controller and pursue a lifestyle she could
only dream of a few years ago.
"The Super Affiliate Handbook" cover proclaims boldly, "I Do
It And YOU Can Too!"
Well, can you?
That's a difficult question to answer.
With an affiliate business, it's fairly easy to make SOME money.
If you want to make a very good living, and if you're going to
pay for advertising, you must get a large number of details
right.
So this book isn't for everyone.
Most people want quick answers and they're hoping for quick
success.
If that's what they're looking for in this book, they won't find
it.
What they will find is a detailed, 267-page description of how
she has built a highly successful affiliate business.
It took me years to discover many of the techniques she spells
out in her book. I wish it had been available when I started.
Like Rosalind, I love having an affiliate business.
I love being able to work the hours I choose and live where I
like. I specially like the way commissions keep coming in even if
I take the day off.
It's wonderful being able to make a good living promoting other
people's products, and letting them have the hassle of creating
the products.
If you want that too, this book is for you.

4. Useful resource: GoogleGuy Says
==================================
An anonymous "GoogleGuy" helpfully responds to questions in the
forums at WebmasterWorld.
According to forum owner Brett Tabke, GoogleGuy is a Google
employee. Whoever he is, he's particularly well informed about
what's happening at Google, even if he doesn't always tell us
everything we'd like to know.
Mark Carey's blog, GoogleGuy Says, gives a brief version of
GoogleGuy's answers. Each entry includes a link to the actual
quote.
For example, IP-based penalties are rare.
"GG says there are many reasons that penalties based on banning
IP addresses are not a good idea, and he hasn't seen one in a
long time."
You can use this site to do quick research on what Google really
does.
