How to to outperform search engines through social sites
Published 03/16/2010
Jeremy Palmer has been making a living as a full-time affiliate marketer for nearly six years.
He's not a theory man. He's renowned and well respected in the industry, in part, thanks to his willingness to share proven, real world ideas.
Jeremy mentioned that YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and other top social sites often send more traffic than the search engines to his portfolio of sites.
Remember he's a million dollar plus affiliate.
He made a big call and said that after seeing great results from these efforts, he's convinced that this traffic strategy is one of the biggest opportunities for affiliates since Google.
Coming from Jeremy, that should be enough to prick your ears up.
Based on a lot of his experiences he has put together a training program that teaches exactly what he has been doing.
If you're looking for a step-by-step process, I highly recommend this inexpensive training.
Oh. . . I asked Jeremy if he would mind offering a discount for AP visitors. He very kindly complied so now it's even cheaper! :)

Why you must diversify your traffic sources
By Jay Stockwell | Published 03/11/2010 | Motivation , Getting traffic
A friend of mine has had a bad time this past week. For many of you reading this, it’s the stuff of nightmares.
Over the past few years he has built a really busy and profitable online business. His website traffic has allowed him to open a factory and employ a bunch of staff.
Through some clever search engine optimization, he managed to rank #1 on most of his main high volume targeted keywords. Daily the leads kept coming in, so much so that he was at times, up to a month behind in website enquiries.
He really was seeing the fruits of how amazing an online business can be. In his case, customers were basically free through really good SEO.
However, as we’ve discussed many times before, he needed to look at ways to both protect his ranking and to find other diverse traffic sources. He is a smart guy, so he knew that this was the best thing to do.
Unfortunately, he didn’t diversify his traffic until this week, when he simply had no choice.

A few dramatic things happened this week. The Winter Olympics finished, we received record rainfall in our region that was otherwise in drought, and in an even more dramatic turn of events, I turned 33. :)
I think the fact that I'm getting older is starting to impact my patience for idiotic statements as you'll see in my blog post this week.
Plus, a couple of special deals that I've organized for you. One in particular is for my fellow countrymen and women of Australia!
CONTENTS:
1. Is PPC dead?
2. Attention Australians - a special deal!
3. 40% off SpeedPPC - A quick re-run
4. Thought for today: Achievement is connected with action

Is PPC dead for affiliate marketing?
By Jay Stockwell | Published 03/4/2010 | PPC advertising
I often chuckle a little when I hear some "Guru's" sprouting off that PPC is dead.
It's normally coming from people who meet the following criteria.
I mean come on, it doesn't take a genius to see that this kind of talk is just ridiculous. Bring it on I say, because it's going to mean less competition and consequently lower costs for the rest of us.
It's normally coming from people who meet the following criteria.
- They've got an agenda to push. For example, they are selling a product on how to advertise on Facebook.
- They've had accounts shut down for going against the terms of service to a small or large degree.
- They are idiots.
I mean come on, it doesn't take a genius to see that this kind of talk is just ridiculous. Bring it on I say, because it's going to mean less competition and consequently lower costs for the rest of us.

My attitude has caused me to miss so many opportunities it’s really not funny.
If I had a different attitude back in 1998, I wouldn’t be sitting here writing this to you now. I would probably be retired.
That was when I started dabbling in this whole making money on the Internet thing. I was still living at home with my parents at that point and was just trying to make a few dollars here and there.
I know, it’s always 20/20 hindsight. However, if I could have my time again I would do things so much differently.
Back then all this stuff was new to me, as it is for many of you. As a result, it was exciting and fresh and most of all fun. I’d stay up all night working on my sites, fluffing around with this and that.
I loved it and it really didn’t feel like work.
In most people’s minds, this sounds like a good thing. However, there is a core problem with this that can actually harm your quest for making money online.

I'm just sitting in the airport waiting for our flight so I'll keep this short.
(Thanks iPhone Tethering!)
We ran a survey early this year and you guys told us that the #1 thing that you wanted to learn about was traffic.
Since then, I've had my eyes peeled for some unique traffic strategies and have something interesting for you today.
George Brown sent me through access to his new course on traffic and I quickly went through it to see what it was like.
There was lots of really good stuff in there that is clearly derived from real world experience.
I skipped straight to the "Advanced Ninja" techniques and I came across this amazing tactic to generate a huge amount of traffic from YouTube.

This week a friend of mind took a hit.
To say that he could have prevented it is a little harsh, but he definitely could have minimized the impact by putting a few simple strategies in place.
It's easy to think it will never happen to you, but how do you know?
